What is your patient care philosophy?
I grew up in an underserved community and through volunteering, I recognized the need for providers in rural areas and wanted to make a difference. I believe in holistic health to help patients understand their medical condition better, work with patients to make decisions towards their health that will promote prevention or improve quality of health when unwell.
How does your work improve lives?
My goal is to help patients make their own decisions to decrease the number of medications to the minimal necessity and improve health outcomes.
What would you like people to know about you as a physician/provider?
After graduating from the University of California Berkeley, I studied at Ross University School of Medicine in the Caribbean island of Dominica. I completed my clinical clerkships in New York, Florida, California, and Illinois. My career is fulfilling when a patient tells me I have made some kind of difference in their health and wellbeing, and they are appreciative of the time we spent together which leads to improved health and perception of medicine.
What are some interesting facts about you?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, knitting, crocheting, baking, playing games, outdoor activities, and looking for Florida mangos.
What else would you like to share about yourself?
I speak English, Vietnamese, and minimal Spanish
