What is your patient care philosophy?
I believe in creating a partnership with patients and their families to provide evidence-based patient centered psychiatric care that is built on a foundation of equality, inclusion, dignity, and respect while encouraging continuity of care so that all patients can live their best life and reach their full potential.
What would you like people to know about you as a physician/provider?
I have worked in healthcare since I was eighteen years old, starting out as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
How does your work improve lives?
Effective interdisciplinary management of mental illness decreases emotional distress while promoting overall health and wellness, promotes positive relationships impacting the family’s ability to make meaningful contributions to our community.
What are some interesting facts about you?
I am married with six beautiful children. My husband is from the other side of the globe. My oldest child is twenty-one and I have twins that are two years old. I was born and raised in Polk County. I love anything that keeps my children engaged. I like to be on the water as often as I can.
