What is your patient care philosophy?

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, my patient care philosophy centers on helping individuals achieve the highest level of health and happiness possible. I believe that mental health care should be compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique needs and life circumstances. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their care journey.

I find great reward in fostering patients’ confidence, health, and overall ability improve their circumstances. I want my patients to know that I deeply respect their autonomy, values, and personal goals. I view treatment as a partnership, where open communication and mutual trust are essential. Every individual deserves to have a voice in their care, and I am committed to honoring those preferences while providing evidence-based guidance and support.

How does your work improve lives?

Through my work, I strive to improve lives by helping patients better understand their mental health, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience. My goal is to support each person in achieving meaningful, lasting improvements in their overall well-being and quality of life.

What are some interesting facts about you?

Outside of my professional role, I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling to new places, and being near or in the salt water. These experiences help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life, which I carry into the care I provide to others.
