Covid Updates

If you think you have COVID-19, we recommend seeking care first by calling us. We can evaluate and determine if you meet the CDC guidelines for testing based on symptoms, travel, and exposures.  If you meet the criteria, we’ll advise how to proceed with testing.

The Florida Department of Health also has set up a COVID-19 hotline. The phone number is 866-779-6121, or you can email COVID-19@flhealth.gov

Currently, we are testing in accordance with CDC guidelines.

It’s important to keep in mind that most COVID-19 cases are mild and only a small percentage of patients will require hospitalization. Most patients will be able to recover at home.

We encourage everyone to practice regular infection prevention techniques such as frequent hand washing, avoiding touching their faces, cough etiquette, and staying home while sick.

If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately. In adults, emergency warning signs are:

  • Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion or inability to arouse
  • Bluish lips or face
