Regarding Illnesses/ Sick children: Less is more. If I do nothing long enough most pediatric illnesses will self-resolve.  My job is to educate…educate the parents how to assess their “sick” child, what they can try at home (and what they should not try,) teaching them to follow evidence based medicine (and Not to follow the commercial and advertisement medical treatments,) and when and why they would need to call the office for an appointment.

What is your patient philosophy?

Healthy Life = Limit Bad food + Stay Active + Stay Safe (LBF + SA + SAFE)

“An ounce of prevention equals a pound of cure; my day focuses on teaching/ discussing prevention and answering questions.”

¿Cómo su trabajo mejora vidas?

I teach the parent and child to take care of their children (themselves) by focusing on education / prevention. This manner takes a positive approach to healthcare (rather than a negative manner).  And I make things very simple, easy to obtain/ achieve. Slow and steady wins the race.

I knew I wanted to be a doctor when I was 5 years old, but it wasn’t until medical school that I realized that pediatrics was my passion. I feel I am very lucky to have realized this: so for the past 24 years, in the morning (most mornings) I am not going to work; rather, I am going on a “play date.” Again, I find myself very fortunate to have found my passion.

¿Cuáles son algunos datos interesantes sobre ti?

I moved to Florida in December 1971 and my first stop (before going to my house) was going to the pediatrician, as I had an asthma attack on the drive down from New York. I would spend a lot of time in Dr. Levin’s office at Pediatric Associates.  When I finished my residency in pediatrics, Dr. Levin and I opened the Boynton Beach branch of Pediatric Associates.
