¿Cómo su trabajo mejora vidas?
Many of my clients struggle with depression and/or anxiety, as well as grief. In Winter Haven, I’ll also be helping patients cope as they juggle these issues along with medical ones, such as diabetes, to improve their quality of life.
¿Cuáles son algunos datos interesantes sobre ti?
Most of my family back in West Virginia has passed away. I happily moved to Florida to be closer to my cousins (located on either side of the state), spend more time at the beach, and enjoy all that Florida has to offer, such as frequent trips to Disney World. I enjoy collecting sea shells!
¿Qué más te gustaría compartir sobre ti?
I was raised by my maternal grandparents. My grandfather died of cancer when I was 17. This changed my life and made me want to become a therapist and help others. I have volunteered or worked in daycare centers, hospitals, nursing homes, hospices, schools, clinics, private counseling agencies from children with ADHD to the elderly with dementia and everything in between. I hold a special place in my heart for children and teens in foster care. I’m empathetic and strive to focus on each person and what they would like to improve in his/her/their life.
