Title X Funds Available:  2011 Title X Family Planning Services Multi-year Competitive Contract

CFHC Title X Family Planning Services for CY 2011 is a competitive application for family planning services for low income men and women throughout the state of California.

Grants will be awarded for a 12 month period (January 1, 2011 – December 31, 2011).

Eligibility requirements include:

  • FPACT provider for a minimum of 2 years.
  • Non-profit 501c3 status, or a country or city health department.

Interested applicants must submit a Notice of Intent to Apply by 5:00pm March 11, 2010. Only hard copy submissions with original signatures will be accepted. Faxes, scans and emails will not be accepted.

Providing Culturally Responsive Care: Technical Assistance Project

CFHC is pleased to announce this Request for Application, made possible with a grant from The California Endowment, and is seeking 8 agencies that are ready and willing to commit to a 12-month process to improve their accessibility and quality of services through enhanced cultural and linguistic responsiveness.

All proposals are due to CFHC by March 5, 2010 by 2PM. (This has been extended from the original due date of February 19, 2010.)

Funding Criteria

CFHC will select agencies based on the following criteria:

  • The agency can identify previous efforts to promote cultural and linguistic competency
  • The agency can demonstrate the support of the senior leadership to both undertake this project and to adopt the needed changes identified during this process.
  • The agency can show what resources it will dedicate to the process (e.g., staff time, meetings, funding, materials)
  • Funding Range
  • A stipend to help support staff time and resources dedicated to this project will be provided to agencies selected for participation. CFHC will provide $7,500 to help selected agencies implement the project.

Who is Eligible?

All Title X delegate agencies are invited to apply. Aside from meeting the criteria specified in the project summary, CHFC will also take into consideration:

  • How many clients does your agency serve?
  • What is the culture (race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, educational attainment, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, legal status) and linguistic diversity of your client population?
  • Is your agency located in an area of high unmet need?
